true.. many of us can be males but we might not be real men… and I mean by this all the positive qualities that include things like patience, forgiveness, sensitivity, and obviously what first comes to mind like courage and fulfilling promises.

My sheikh for Qur’anic Sciences in Amman would say this whenever we asked him about why men were allowed to have more than one wife.
After explaining the clear fiqh behind it, he went on to say “but those were real men, and nowadays there are hardly any real men.”

When I think of real men, and manhood, it reminds me of what Abu Bakr (ra) said about Khalid bin Walid:
“Women will no longer be able to give birth to the likes of Khalid bin Al-Waleed.”
